Dear Facebook,

As my eyes get familiar with the question of "What's on your mind?"
My brain is processing the thoughts of itself and what it's thinking, this moment in time.

I have to think, what I'm thinking about.
Judging by some peoples posts, they don't think about, what are they thinking about, what are they thinking about?

Post a photo of your young child like a old photo album, but instead for the world to see.
Not just close family and future love interests, but the average joe, who may not have intentions of well, to see.

My dad said: if I get a million likes I can have a new kidney.
He's a horrible dad to me and would let the world kill me.

My brother said: if he gets a million likes he will be cured of cancer, the more that share the more the cancer gets scared of fame and starts to cower, back into remission and fails it's mission and never come back to power.

I don't think that's right.
That people put so much faith in a website.

"Don't trust Wikipedia" they say, it can be edited by anyone.
I say don't trust the news feeds either, it is the edits of everyone.

Racist posts being shared by those who know no better,
older generations sharing posts about married life and unpredictible weather.

I don't understand why the addiction is so strong.
Playing online games whilst they log and move your data along.

"I've got nothing to hide"
is what everyone likes to say in defense.

If that's the case I want you to take away your garden fence,
let me misrepresent the tense and see into your future expense by opening your bank statements, and showing me you have no sense.

Someone once said "Saying you don't care about privacy because you have nothing to hide is like saying you don't care about freedom of speech because you have nothing to say."
I agree with this totally, in every way.

But that logic isn't really applied to the stupidity of some posts I see,
Showing you're a racist, a supporter of animal slaughter, legalise cannabis trees!

There's people there with whom I don't even speak, I haven't since school,
since you asked me to help you to read.


Well read into this and don't be so pathetic,
it's a social network not a personal diary of emotional synthetics,
nor a racist forum board for the misguided, I'm unsympathetic.
Oh just forget it.

Whatever I say is never going to change things,
just like sharing a photo isn't gonna cure things, it isn't gonna help people understand things,
just keep doing what you do.

We're too far to into it to change things.
